bed of broken mirrorsA subtle weight,  
This emptiness I have slung over my shoulder  
One thing gone wrong,  
One tumbling boulder  
Into the landslide of my life...

Glass shards dig into my skin  
So enticingly persuasive,  
This junkyard of barren waste and apathy  
Spent on the idea of broken promises  
And past thoughts...  
 
(A dark corner, the shadow of my mind  
Is the only place I have left to hide)  
 
Abyssal torture,  
These words casually hung in the air-  
While a body, long forgotten and rotted away   bed of broken mirrors

Ode To Dying FlowersI walked home in cloudy streets  
Littered with rolling, dying flowers;  
Wind blowing one last roll until  
These masterpiece wheels of nature's silk  
Were gliding across the gritty paved streets,  
 
Each roll ripped off one more petal;  
Yet the flower felt no pain.  
Each grit of sand tore it apart,  
Sadly,  
It bled pollen and tears of clorophyl.  
 
Chasing each other into painful oblivion,  
These flowers, Earth-bound stars,  
Shine a dull white light-  
Remeniscent of school children  
Playing tag during recess  
Until everyone has skinned, scabbed Ode To Dying Flowers

Welcome to nowhere,
and finding out where it is...

Mood: Happy Psyched
Listening to: "Determined" by Mudvayne
Reading: "Instant ESP"

Well, I graduate tomorrow from High School. I can't wait to walk through the ceremony, and get it all over with, to move on to the bigger and better things out there. College is creeping around the corner...

On another note, I finally wrote another new poem. I am particularly pleased with it, and will probably post it as my featured deviation. Tell me what you think. I have been dealing with a form of writers block. I know what I want to say, but it won't form into words. Well I broke through it beautifully here...
